Our annual Yearbook shows off all the amazing things we do here at Hikurangi School. Thanks to the generosity of our School Board of Trustees, each school whānau receives one copy free of charge!

FLOATING CLASSROOMS

Project Island Song's Floating Classrooms programme is an in-the field education programme. It introduces students to the realities of sustaining the pet-free Ipipiri island wildlife sanctuary.

maori language week

This special week is an opportunity for the concentrated celebration and promotion of Te Reo Maori, helping to secure it's future as a living dynamic and rich language. 

Trees for survival 

Trees for Survival is a a charitable trust working with over 200 schools and loval communities across Aotearoa to grow and plant native trees along waterways and at risk sites. 

pasifika fusion festival

We have a fantastic relationship with our Pacific Community and love to support the annual Pasifika Fusion Festival. This year over 80 of our tamariki took the stage to showcase their love of Pacific Island dance and culture. 


nga teina sleepover

This year a youngest tamariki had a fun packed sleepover. Pizza for dinner, movie night and swimming. Sleepovers are always highly anticipated events and this one was no different. Our tamariki had a great time.


think and be me 

The Think and Be Me project is a program that aims to help tamariki manage their emotions in healthy ways, and develop resilience and coping skills. Recently Rotary and People Potential came and spent the day with our tamariki introducing and showing them this awesome program.
